Things That Are Bugging Me

There has been many things going on in my everyday life that are just bugging the heck out of me. I'm taking a class at Lee called "Music Recording Industry", and please don't get me wrong, the class is worth while and overall a good class... if that is something you want to do with your life. I don't want to be in the music business. No, talk radio is not part of the music business. Now, there are some good things that I can take from this class, like how to get connections, how to get your foot in the door, but at the end of the day, the average Telecommunications major does not care about this class. Lee should take the class out of the TCOM major and move it to the music business major, it would fit perfect in the major. This class is mainly geared towards those students who want to be band managers, music executives, run a recording studio, and all that stuff is perfect for music majors, not TCOM students. Granted, there are some TCOM students that do want to run sound for a band or something, but overall I think the average TCOM student doesn't want to work in the music industry. I want to be in talk radio, bring in someone from talk radio to talk to the class, but all of the guest speakers are in the music business and that bores me. It's cool to meet these people and all, but their message doesn't "do it" for me.

Next on the "bugging" radar is all the politics going on. I almost regret ever caring about politics. It is so stressful watching the country I live in go down the socialist road it's going down. Over one year ago, I just wanted to hear a funny talk radio show, and instead I found politic news talk, and I've been hooked ever since. In my personal life prior to that point, it seemed like the last major politics news story was back with Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinski. Now it seems like everyday, I notice a major political news story that I care about. The problem is that there isn't a face to face forum to get all of this political opinion that is in my head out and into the open. I used to post status updates on, but then the facelessness of the internet allows people, with no opinion of their own to just copy and paste talking points and try to use them as their own. I'd rather Facebook just debate someone face to face. FROM THIS MOMENT ON, I WILL NEVER POST A POLITICAL COMMENT AS A STATUS UPDATE ON FACEBOOK!!! At the end of the day it does no justice and most of my friends on Facebook just don't care.

Finally, football season is back, but this season it comes with a brand new twist... I'M MARRIED!! When you listen to comedians and other people, they make fun of guys watching football with their wives, and the power struggle that goes on. I haven't experienced any power struggle yet with my wife, but she doesn't understand how any body can sit on the couch all day Saturday and all day Sunday and just watch football. I don't know how to explain it, other than IT'S FOOTBALL. I grew up learning to enjoy every moment of a football game, high school, college and pro. I really don't know how to tell my lovely wife that watching football is just something I do. It is one of the few things on T.V that interest me. Before I was married, I would just watch it without a single thought, but now that I'm a married man I have to consider that maybe my wife doesn't want to watch 6 hours of football on a Sunday afternoon. I should maybe, possibly be a good husband and hand the remote over to my wife and let her control the TV on a Sunday. I don't know... any advice from a married man?

Seriously, Is This not Some Bad Dream?!!

Ok... I'm going to take a deep breath, and be as calm as I can, because I will offend some people I know with this blog, but at this point I just don't care.

I am sick and tired of hearing about President Barack Obama doing whatever he wants and no one seems to report on it (except for Fox News, because they have a spine), or even care about it, even if it has a direct affect on their lives. Is it because we don't want to offend a black man? He's not even black, he is just as much white as he is black... oh does that upset you? Well its true.

Today he announced that he is cancelling the White Houses prayer day... because according to him he prays in the privacy of his own home. Yeah right, and Pauly Shore has won a Oscar. It must be great to do whatever you want, and everyone turns a blind eye to it. God forbid, if George W. Bush did this, everyone would be running to White House with pitchforks, and knives. He is doing this because he is planning out the next group of people he is coming after... the church going folk. He has been attacking the rich, the group of people who want to succeed, and now its the church goers. He doesn't even know the bible. I remember listening to one of his speeches while he was campaigning (before he was president), and he distorted the bible so bad that it is almost like he is reading some other form of the bible. Where does it say in Leviticus that slavery is ok?? Anyone, anyone?? Did anyone through a fit about this??? NO!! Dr. James Dobson, of Focus of the Family, did and he was thrown to the wolves because he called out the "Anointed One". That is how it is done with President Obama, if you dare question anything he does, he throws the wolves on you and tries to tare you down.

Oh you don't believe me, here is fact. Do you remember Joe the Plumber? He called out then Sen. Barack Obama about his tax plan, and how because he (Joe the Plumber) owned his own business that it would hurt him. He basically was saying that Sen. Barack Obama was spreading the wealth, and without the help of his teleprompter, he told Joe the Plumber that... well just watch the video below. Now, what happened to Joe the Plumber after he made Sen. Barack Obama tell the country that he wanted to "Spread the Wealth", which IS a SOCIALIST ideology, Sen. Obama put the wolves on Joe the Plumber. They looked to see if he has ever owed the IRS money, they looked up his criminal record (not that he had one), and did everything they could to ruin Joe the Plumber reputation, and make him look like the bad guy. Hmmm, that sounds like a true "Savior"... did the true Anointed One, Jesus Christ ever do that... I DON'T THINK SO!!

Maybe these are the reasons that people voted for him. He, being a "black" man, are giving the white man what he deserves. I don't want this to be true, this isn't true, but it does seem that way.

Also, he is going overseas and trashing our great country, who saved Europe's butts on two different occasions and he is saying that we are arrogant!!! A: I don't believe that Americans are arrogant, we are the most giving people on the planet. Facts can back that up. B: If we are arrogant, we have every right to be. We saved them a couple of times. Does anyone care?? NO. Most people go right along with him and say "I'm an arrogant jerk, who needs to be punished for my arrogance." Give me a break. Does anyone have the balls to stand up to President Obama?

One more thing, and this is it... This whole interrogation situation where Pres. Obama is saying that it is torture. I don't think so. No one has died from these interrogation techniques, and don't the people who are being interrogated deserve it?? I think most Americans have forgotten the way they felt on September 11th, 2001. Other than maybe the 4th of July, Americans came together as a country and wanted to stand up for themselves against the people who did this. Well, the guy who planned the attacks was caught, and the government wanted to know more about the attacks, and if there were plans for more attacks. Well, they interrogated him with certain techniques, like water boarding, and they found out that there was a planned attack on L.A. Did you hear about this? NOPE, probably not since Pres. Obama doesn't want people to know that those forms of interrogation work. I thought he was going to bring transparency to the White House. If that was true he would have to you that those forms of interrogation work, all the time. But instead he wants you, his loyal supporters, to believe that those form of interrogation are torture, and can't be done anymore. But, there is a German who lives in Ohio, who was a Nazi official during WWII who helped killed Jews in the Concentration Camps, and is about to be deported back to Germany so he could be put on trial there. Well, his attorneys are telling the courts that he can't go back to Germany because they would torture him. Eric Holder, the Attorney General, said that Germany wouldn't torture him, they would use the same techniques that we used on the terrorists here in the U.S. Wait a minute, I thought according to Pres. Obama those techniques are torture? So, we can't do water boarding because its torture, but Germany, who follows the same interrogation techniques we do, which is allowed according the United Nations, can water board, and its ok. That my friends is a double standard. I thought President Barack Obama was going to make the White House more transparent, but all I can see is President Obama lying, and only releasing his side of most stories, and hiding the rest of the story.

This isn't the only time he has hid the truth, but I feel that I am just wasting my time because I can sit here and give you, the blind idiot Pres. Obama supporter fact, after fact, after fact and you just don't care. For some reason he has mesmerized you, and he can do no wrong in your eyes. Even Christians who believe that gay marriage is wrong, would be ok with Pres. Obama legalizing gay marriage, because to some of you, he is the "Anointed One".

IF HE TOLD YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT HIM WANTING AMERICA TO BE A SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT HE WOULDN'T HAVE WON THE PRESIDENCY. NOTING THAT COMES OUT OF HIS MOUTH IS THE TRUTH.

I feel like I'm living in some bad dream. The only hope to get out of this dream is for the Republicans... i.e TRUE CONSERVATIVES, to take back the congress in 2010. They don't have to be in the majority, but take a good chunk of the seats back. Then we would see the true President Obama for what he really is.

Some Celebrities Should Shut Their Big Yappers!!!

You know, sometimes I wish all celebrities would just keep there opinions to themselves. I like to watch movies and t.v, and I have my favorite actors and actresses. I know that a good chunk of celebrities have someone liberal views, or at least the ones they talk about it, but when they say things like "Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House."

Just let that simmer for a moment...

Janeane Garofalo!! Ms. Garofalo thinks that just because I want lower taxes, and less government spending, that means I'm a racist. It is Ms. Garofalo who doesn't know what the Boston Tea Party was about. Granted, the colonists who were outraged did dump tea in the Boston Harbor, but it wasn't because the tea tasted bad, no, it was because the British government started to tax the tea, and the colonists believed that it was their constitutional right to only be taxed by their elected representatives.

Let me give you the back story on what Ms. Garofalo is talking about. This past Wednesday, April 15Th, across America were these Tax Day Tea Parties in which hundreds of thousands of concerned Americans protested the outrageous taxes they were paying, along with the irresponsible government spending that was taking place. Most of these tea parties went on with out a hitch and where very peaceful protests. Ms. Garofalo didn't like the fact that the concerned Americans were finally speaking their minds, and telling the government that enough is enough. So instead of taking it for what is was, she went on MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" and began to spit out nonsense. Here are some of her quotes...

"This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that." Janeane Garofalo

She also went on the describe the brain size of the typical "right-winger, Republican or conservative or your average white power activist."

"Their synapses are misfiring. ... It is a neurological problem we are dealing with."

Ms. Garofalo also went on to bash the GOP, saying it has "crystallized into the white power movement" as well as Fox News, which she said has captured the "Klan demo[graphic]."

"Who else is Fox talking to? Urban older white guys and their girlfriends who suffer from Stockholm Syndrome."

This gives me a sick feeling in my stomach. I USED to respect Janeane Garofalo, I thought she was a funny actress. My favorite movie of hers is "Wet Hot American Summer." This filth that oozed from her mouth just sickens me. Where does she get these ideas? Oh I know, it must be from all that pot she smoked back in the day, it must of killed one too many brain cells. Or she is your typical celebrity liberal who doesn't do any research, and just because they're on t.v or in movies their opinion matters. Well you know what? All celebrities' opinions don't matter!! I mean half the time they don't even know what they're talking about, much like Ms. Garofalo. They spent too much time studying how to be a actor that they didn't even read a history book, or a math book, or any other book for that matter.

Ms. Garofalo needs to do a little research on what the Boston Tea Party was about, not what she thinks its about. She so stupid she probably thinks that the Bostonians dumped tea in the Harbor because it wasn't Caffeine free. The colonists were protesting the taxation of the tea!! Sound familiar Ms. Garofalo? I believe something very familiar went on this past Wednesday, oh yeah, the fricken Tax Day Tea Parties!!!

I need to take a break, all these idiots who I like to watch in movies and on t.v drive me nuts...

I'm glad that most of the celebrities I do really like, don't make it known what their political views are. I mean its ok for them to like President Obama, and other democrats, that's fine, just don't start saying things without any proof, or way to back them up. It makes you look and sound stupid. Not only that, some of your biggest fans will stop respecting you, and may even stop spending the $8-$10 on movie tickets to watch your movies, or stop watching your shows. Please stick to acting. If you do have something to say about politics, or even your fans, keep it to yourself. I know its hard to believe but people like me pay the movie studios who pay you. So if you bad mouth your fans, like Ms. Garofalo did ( she now is on the Fox show "24" and their biggest demographic is men 18-45 who lean republican), they may stop watching and thus making you no money and losing you job, and potentially stopping you from getting work. Besides, the average fan could care less about your political views or your opinions on anything. If you absolutely have to say something, write a book, which probably won't sell, because we just don't care.

One more thing, Ms. Garofalo, put down the weed the next time you have something to say, and do some research on the Boston Tea Party, because it is YOU who doesn't know what it was all about.

A few quick thoughts

I only have a few moments to post a short and sweet blog, I don't think I can do it due to the fact that I have so much on my mind. It has been a busy week for my and my surrounding life. Here are a couple of the things I'm pondering...

1. President Barack Obama held a Fiscal Responsiblity Summit on Monday, HA! Tell me this, how can you hold a Fiscal Responsiblity Summit when you are not Fiscally Responsible. He just finished pushing through a Trillion Dollar spending, or I mean "Stimulus" package that adds a lot of money to our already huge deficit.
2. President Obama also said that he wants to cut the deficit in half in four years. How can you do that with a $1.3 trillion in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan? I know, eliminate the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan!! It is that simple. Even the CBO, the Congressional Budget Office, a democrat controlled part of congress said that in the long run it would be better if they (government) did nothing over the ARandRP.
3. What is a woman's beliefs and morals worth? Nadya Suleman, the mom who gave birth to the octuplets, has been offered $1 million and free health care, and all she has to do is star in a hardcore porno. Is it worth it? She has 14 kids now and is on welfare. Would you do it if you were in that situation? First off she shouldn't have been taking firtility medicine to enhance her chances of have more kids, after she already had 6! She doesn't deserve special treatment for her stupidity. That just tells everyone "hey screw up, and you will get anything you want!"

I now have to go to work and make some money, and pay some money to the government to pay for the ARandRP. God Bless America!!

Message to all Lee University Students...

BE CAREFULL!!!

I drive around campus a lot. I mean a lot. Going through campus on my way to class, driving through campus on a delivery, or just driving around. I usually drive through campus during the high traffic times, you know after a classes let out, and I getting a little tired of have to slam on the breaks becuase students don't look before they cross the street. I'm not talking about on Parker St. in front of the HC, I'm talking about 11th St in front of the Student Union. There is no crosswalk in front of the PCSU or the Conn Center except at Parker, and Church. This means that the cars get the right of way, unless you use the crosswalk. In most places if you don't use the crosswalk, it is called Jaywalking, and you can get a ticket. I've been at Lee since fall of 2005, if I'm not mistaken, there have been atleast 3 students to get hit by a car. Although, one of them was using a crosswalk, that one was on Ocoee, in front of Medlin Hall. Now, I may be coming off mean, or bitter, but I hate that people are almost getting hit by cars, due to them not paying attention. I will say that it isn't always the pedestrians fault, there are some really bad drivers who just don't care, and speed through campus, but that is a different topic for a different day. In all of my experiences, it is the student pedestrians either not paying attention, or just not caring.

Please, please, heed my advice, just walk down the street a little further and use the crosswalks, it could save Lee from having to call your parents because of an accident.
